Default Few questions about filing green card

Seniors please help me understand the GC process better. My questions are

1) Can two companies simultaneously file and process green card for a person?
2) If my I-140 is approved through company A can I get H1 extensions based on company A’s I-140 through any other company B and work for B even though the company A has stopped my green card process/revoked I-140 or company A is closed or bankrupt?

-- yes.

not if your GC process is revoked within 180 days of your 485 filing, or even earlier than that.
