Contribute to IV….

We all know that we are able to file 485 on July and we got EAD due to IV efforts. Which in turn helping us to get a 600$ rebate for the spouse (Some plan to spend the money).. Can we make a pledge here that we will contribute a certain % to our organization? The % can be your choice. At least this % can help this site up and running… If the moderator decide that this is not a good idea please close this thread.

First from me 20% from whatever I get as rebate …

Infact I know one Texas member who has contributed a percentage of his tax return last year, and will be doing it again.

BTW.. please explain what is this $600 rebate? I already filed my taxes myself, and maybe I missed this.

Its part of Bush's stimulus package... I don't don't think anything is required on your part besides filing taxes. The rebates should be coming in around May according to NPR, if I am not mistaken. $600 per individual filing. In a joint filing $600 each for husband and wife, $300 for each kid (ceiling?)

How about a monthy subscription? Donate some money every month. Could be $100, $50 or even just $20

$600 for individual. $1200 for joint filing (hus & wife), and $600 for each dependent (child). Don't know if parents (dependents) are included.

also there is a ceiling in AGI.
Single - <75K;
Joint - <150K

but the amount gradually decreases as your AGI reaches the ceiling : (

I just got the IRS letter with the info yesterday.
