Providing PCC during CIC application will certainly help expedite the process. You can submit later. Any reason why you wouldn't submit them. It take 2-3 weeks for FBI fingerprinting clearance and about 6-8 weeks for homecountry PCC (depends on your home country).

Request for medicals will come from CIC after you submit your application at CIC.

Hope this helps.

You have answer regarding PCC if you search few posts above your's
I know of Indian Consulate in Houston where I got my PCC
http://www.cgihouston.org/miscattestation.html#gl18

Google is your friend to find other consulate as applicable to your region of residence.

Information regarding your Medicals can be found here

Default "Small" change in one of AINP's H1-B stream rules - clarification sought

Dear forum-buddies,

I filed for my AINP application (with Alberta) on Friday and was told that a small change was effected on Thursday (19 Feb 2009). The change is that, now, the applicant has to be on an H1-B not only while the application is being submitted but also when the application is due for finalization .

Now, my question is this:

I am getting married in September 2009 and since I applied in February (this month) I do not expect that my nomination will take longer than 6 months. Thus by August I should have my nomination and from there on the ball will be in CIC's court.

Now, given that I will be supplying CIC with my marriage certificate in September, will they consider my wife's application as that of a dependent or will they have the file sent back to Alberta seeking their counsel on whether I still qualify "with my wife". I ask this because the way the economy is the sooner I am free from the H1-B requirement the easier I can breathe. If the file goes back to Alberta and they want to check on my status I will have to be on an H1-B (by necessity) that much longer!

Anyone with any experience in this regard?

Thank you

Default Question for Last yrs applicants

Hi Ingegarcia and ndbhatt,

Can you folks tell me if you sent the original IMM008 form when you replied to the initial invitation from AINP last yr. I can't recall if the original IMM008 form gets submitted to CIC or is sent to the AINP (confused). I just received the nomination tonight and am curious to know whats the follow up for. Are we supposed to keep giving AINP status updates or atleast fax them the receipt of the nomination form?

Please advise

Default Nope

Original needs to be sent to CIC not AINP. After you receive nomination from CIC, make sure send the acknowledge form back to AINP to let them know that you have received the nomination.

HI

What he meant was you can either live close to Vancouver, Detroit or Buffalo and commute back and forth. Also no fees unless you apply for CIC. Btw where you from

Thank you very much for your help and all information. I am putting together the application to Alberta under AINP since I will be in US on H1B visa starting March, 09. I saw that they require the reference letters from all my employers. Could anybody please help me with the reference letter format since I have no idea what has to be in the letter? Please advise if I also need to get the reference letter from my US employer that will start in March, 09. Also, I saw that CIC requires the State Clearance for all the places we stay more than 6 months. Please advise if this State Clearance needs to be Fingerprint Base or Name Base. Also, I wonder if I can send the application to Alberta first upon arriving US in March. 09 and send my first paystub to Alberta later on (probably March 15, 09 or March 31, 09 paystubs). Anybody please help. Thank you very much.

Exclamation From H1B to a fast GC

I worked in the US with my H1B that is about to expire. I don't want to go back home. A friend of mine told me that I can apply for a GC in Canada, Alberta. Luckily, I can do this now, while my H1b is still valid. To get a GC in Canada, it will take me about a year or less.
Here is the website where you can find more info about this (Good luck!): www.canadah1b.com
Cheers!
