OPT Denied H1B approved
I have completed an MBA in the US and filed for graduation this semester so I will be getting my diploma in June or sometime around then. I applied for the OPT in January this year (while still on CPT that was scheduled to get over on the 30th of April) but was denied as the SEVIS system was recently updated to accept applications not prior to 90 days instead of the previous 120 days rule and none of the universities were told this.. I received my denial on the 15th of March and re-applied for my OPT. USCIS received my re-application on the 23rd of March. My H1B was approved a week ago and is set to begin on October 1st. I am out of my CPT and my OPT application is still pending with the USCIS. It is almost two months now. I know they have a set timeframe of 90 days but I was just wondering if I have anything to worry about with regards to my OPT. I cannot work until I receive my EAD card as the Cap-Gap doesn't apply to me as I am not on my OPT yet. Also while re-applying I mentioned that the previous application was denied and sent in the denial letter along with it (the form I-765 has that provision under Question 11).
Should I be worrying about another denial ? I just want to make sure that I haven't missed anything.
