Default Question on Applying for H1B stamping in Hyderabad consulate with new passport

I am currently working in USA and will be visiting Hyderabad, India in November, 2009. At that time I have to get my visa renewed. I have a question on filling the DS-156 and DS-157 applications.

I have 2 passports.
The first one expired in 2008 and it has the H1B visa stamped till August 2009.
I got my new passport in 2008. It was issued in US. This doesn't have any visa stamps on it.

When applying for appointment for H1B visa which passport number should I provide in DS-156 and DS-157?
Is it the old passport number or the new passport number?

At the Hyderabad consulate website I saw this How to Apply - U.S. Consulate General Hyderabad, India

If in the event your passport is lost or expired, you will still have to book your appointment using your old passport number. At the time of your interview the new passport number will be updated in your visa record.

What does this mean?

Thanks

Use the new passport number in form and carry both old and new passport with you to consulate.

Default Use new PP No in the forms

You have to use new passport no in the forms, I was also in similar situation this year starting (january 2009) and have done stamping at delhi without any problem. It's better to carry both, but in my case they didn't ask my old passport...

Good luck with your stamping....
