Default No Priority date on Receipt

How to find out what is the priority date, since the column on the receipt notice is blank? I wanted to use my old PD (sept 2003), but my application in June was returned and then I re-filed in July.

My laywer says there is no way to find out which PD is being used. I called USCIS and they say they do not have this info.

Can anyone please suggest what shall i do to confirm that my PD is sept 2003

mambarg is an unknown quantity at this point
Default No PD on Receipt

Your PD is not granted until the case is adjudicated.
So receipt has no PD.

sheela,

from a common sense perspective, some one in the CA backlog center with a PD of 2002 who could file his 485 only now, should have precedence than someone who just started the process in 2007 and had the opportunity to file 485 because of the VB fiasco.

Cases are first judged on their PD, and if the PD is current, then 485's are adjucated on basis of RD. Of course, USCIS does not always follow the scientific method.
