EB3 to EB2 Porting with 12+3 from India

Hi All.
Thanks for your advice and support in advance. Here is my case
1. I completed my Education (12+3 B.Sc.) from Delhi University in 1996.
2. Started working in IT in March 1997. Total Exp 15 Years
3. Did JCP/Oracle DBA Certifications in 2001.
4. Came to US in 2005, Got Pre-Approved labor of August 2004, but it was of EB3 category. Working for the same employer since July 2007.
5. Just missed the bus during July 2007 rush to file the 485.
6. Got three years extension in Nov 2011.
7. 140 was filed in July 2007, approved in December 2007.

Can anyone guide me if my case is eligible for Porting to EB2.

for EB2 your Job Requirement should say

Masters degree or equivalent
Or
Bachelor Degree or equivalent (12 + 4) + minimum 5 years of continuous work experience

In your case - it's 12+3, I don't think so you will qualify for EB2

Thanks for the reply. My question was not complete. I'm targetting EB2 porting under Exceptional Ability category. There are three Categories / requirements for the EB2
1. Advanced Degree.
2. Exceptional Ability.
3. NIW.
Exceptional Ability dont have degree requirement, but 10+ years of Experience, Any degree/Diploma/Certificate, Salary, Recognition in job etc.

Do I qualify for EB2 Porting under Exceptional Ability.

Please read details about exceptional ability

Evidence of recognition for achievements and significant contributions to the industry or field by peers, government entities, professional or business organizations

My understanding - you should have something significant such as helped in some open source development ( apache etc) or solely build a new software which became an industry leader in that specific domain or helped writing new language etc. Basically you will have to submit some press release mentioning your achievement, lettrrs from your company management/customers about your exceptional ability

I am in same boat like you. I know it is frustrating. Even after 15 years of exp. we are not qualified for EB2.

Not sure if this is useful or I have no idea when this was prepared, but I stumbled upon this presentation from AILA about how to prepare cases of EB2 and EB3.
There is also a specific reference to Indian degrees.
