I am just expressing my personal opinion. Fox news is a better and balanced channel in comparison to damn CNN. CNN runs anti-India, anti-immigrant shows. CNN hates skilled immigrants coming out of south asia. Though they love family based immigrants from Europe. I think fox news is fair and balanced. CNN has not stopped bigots like Lou Dobbs who openly say that they like immigration but not from South Asia/America. People like Hannity support skill based immigration. Rush Limbaugh has openly embrassed India as a trading partner and has no problems with immigrants from India.
As an Indian, I feel that they don't do propaganda like Communist News Channel.
CNN is a garbage channel and I think immigrants should boycott it.

Coverage of India doesn't make a news channel balanced, or the lack of it imbalanced. The average Joe cares about India's success in the context of his job being shipped there, it's nuclear capabilities, and of course the communist connections. I am not sure how much you can sell India's success to Americans (not to say there aren't many)

It is unfortunate that CNN continues to air anti-immigrant shows by populists such as Dobbs and Glenbeck. However, it is imporatant to bear in mind that these are mere opinion shows aimed at attracting conservatives to the channel. If you watch CNN long enough you will notice that these guys don't seem to enjoy much respect from the rest of gang anyway. They are like Colmes (Hannity & Colmes), ony more aggressive and vociferous. The rest of team at CNN is just superb - Anderson, Blitzer, Larry King, John King and the lovely Erica Hill.

Anyway, for me CNN is the news channel, and Fox is the entertainment channel with their pretty women, wagging fingers and endless spin.

I agree with you completely on CNN. Fox News is Fair and Balanced to a certain extent in my opinion. To me the republican administration has been very reasonable on its views on immigration. They also recognize the new world order and have shed the cold war cloak long back. It is true some dems still seem to be stuck in the cold war era and have been slow in recognizing the changing world dynamics.
However there are gems like the honorable Zoe Lofgren who recognizes the contribution of skilled immigrants and has been very supportive of our cause. Ultimately we need to think across party lines and garner support from every representative that understands our cause.
It is in our own interest that we do not stick to one party since there are reasonable thinking people on both sides of the aisle.

CNN may have max 2 hours anti immigration news. Other than that it is a news and poltics channel. It is ridiculous to boycott entire channel just because there are some bad things. We need to boycott whatever we do not like.

This is the problem why Time Warner (parent company of CNN) allows not only anti-immigrants but racists and bigots from numbers usa and programmers guild on the his shows. Since we immigrants have a very """""""positive"""""""""""" view about this propaganda channel. Yes for me if CNN bashes India, Indians or Indian immigrants, it is ant-immigrant and racist. I agree that Zoe Lofgren has always come to our rescue and so is Croynin and other republican senators. It is not a question about democrats and republicans. If Cronynin or lofgren have their way, our problems will be gone for ever. This is about negative publicity that CNN gives us and make people sentiments against us. What is the point of raising such issues based on personal opinion. Which channel is fair and balanced can not be determined by one issue.

India has come a long way and after 9/11 with cold war over it is the most important and logical partner not only in trade but international policy. So very obviously you notice change in perception in US.

I think it is not in the best interest of this forum and the cause for which it is created to post such personal opinions driven by sporadic emotional reactions. Lou Dobbs can sell his stuff and is making good money whether right or wrong and you will not achieve anything by calling him names.

I very much agree that fox news is more fair and balanced. though some may view it as being agressive, their views I find are more reasonable and factual. Again I don't agree with a poster having problem with hannity. he's passionate about his views, but he backs his views with facts and proofs. sometimes the truth hurts, and the people on the other side can't stand it and create such proproganda of fox news being evil. if you can see, the other news channels instead of presenting news fairly, they openly gush and support obama. that's not proper journalistic standards. and no wonder they have very poor ratings and viewership. and nothing wrong with having pretty womens. my views.

Most of the hosts of NEWS channels, have programs with invited guests and analysts and they show what their views are, instead of showing real news about what is really happening and let people decide. I watch both channels but when i need information about, I rely on NPR news...

Bill O'Reilly is the only host (besides Howard Stern) that i have seen who actually shouts and scolds his guests ... may he does that to get a balanced opinion ....

of all the "opinion" channels Fox is the most closely aligned to a political party. It's "news" reports are probably first reviewed/modified by karl rove's team... maybe karl is very balanced as well..

On the other hand, at Fox you have O'Reilly, Hannity, , Shepard Smith, Cavuto, and others at Prime time whose raison d'etre seems to be to bash immigrants and democrats. When I last checked this website, IV does not support illegal immigrants. Fox news obviously goes after illegals. Fox news has always supported Bill Gates stand on Skilled Immigration and is that not our IV stand. Their hosts don't bash Indian Immigrants. But my far left friends here don't want to admit this. CNN takes advantage of this and they go on. I will not stop calling names till I see Lou Dobbs shut up.
