Default Three year TN visa is available now

USCIS INCREASES PERIOD OF STAY FOR TRADE-NAFTA PROFESSIONAL WORKERS FROM CANADA AND MEXICO

This is a good news for Canadian and Mexican citizens who had to renew their TN Visa's every year. My Canadian PR looks dearer to me now

I know that. Canadian PR's can apply for citizenship by living in Canada for 1095 days (3 years).

Hi,

I am also a Canadian PR and wondering my options before moving to Canada. Does the TN Visa has same restrictions like H-1B such as you have to find another employer within 30-60 days if laid off? How do you get this TN Visa, is it something you apply or US employers have to sponsor you like H-1?

Good to know that. My son wanted to study (Masters) in Canada. May be helpful for him in future.

I was aware that this is happening but thanks "americandesi" for bringing this to notice.

1095 in four years. The Citizenship can be applied after four years. On this account US is mathematically relaxed. Every years six months for five years. Effectlvely 2 1/2 years.
