Smile Sen. Byron Dorgan to retire

North Dakota Sen. Byron Dorgan to retire - On Politics - USATODAY.com

Sen. Dorgan, a staunch opponent of high skill immigration, has decided to retire. Even after all the roadblocks he tried to put in my path to becoming a US citizen (I am not even close yet), I wish him well. Senator, I hope you live a happy and "private" life.

I hope Dick Durbin finds the same enlightenment that Dorgan found.

Good that Dorgan is retiring to make more money. When he was Senator, anybody making money was labelled as evil and thief. Now he is giving up "public service" to make money. Nothing wrong with making money but hypocrisy conrinues to be the whole mark of shrude and deceiving politicians world over.

Now Dodd is also retiring this November. He had very low numbers in the poll and was likely to lose in the upcoming elections in Nov-2010.

Sen. Dodd to retire, sources tell CNN - CNN.com

Democrats already seem to know that they will lose seats in Nov-2010 and may even lose the majority.

Senator Dodd is a long term senator and as usual too heavy influenced by industry groups.
His poll numbers fell after he added the bonus loophole in the bailout package.
