Question Received Rs 111K two months ago. Do I need to declare in US tax returns?

Friends,

Before coming to US I was working in India and two months back I received around 111K rupees. I am not sure if I have to declare that amount in US tax returns.

Has anyone experienced such situation? I think the Gratuity under Indian Tax is exempt from taxation.

Appreciate your help.

Thanks.

As per the fed if any combined total of all bank accounts outside USA exceeds $10,000 than you do have to reflect that in your tax returns.

I am not aware if you have to pay taxes here or not.
