Try joining job networking sites like www.linkedin.com and build your network from all your previous work colleagues, friends, family etc. Many recruiters keep scouring these sites, and you might get a hit there. Another way you might benefit is when recruiters start searching in their network, and if you have many contacts in linkedin, your profile might come up for their review..
Also, during good economic times, whenever you get emails from recruiters, politely respond to them, and them move those emails into a separate folder, so that in tough times like these, you can have a good network of recruiters to fall back upon.
    Good luck...

Starting a new topic on Job Search which might benefit everyone of us.

Just wanted to get opinions from the members on what would be the best approach to get a Job. I know in the current situation it might be very tough.
I heard from many of my friends telling me that they were not getting any calls for the Job interviews when they post their resumes on job sites like Dice, Monster etc which is very depressing.
Can any members share their experiences on the best possible ways to get an interview call.
I mean is it going through Job agencies, or posting resume online or through Job refererrals through friends or posting directly on company's website or anything of that sort.

You can be as crisp as possible in your statements .

    Thanks..
