Do we need to have same job title in the employment letter to file I-485 as was used in the LC application? If job description in the employment letter is matching with labor application, but job title slightly different, then will it be issue for I485? Suppose job title in employment letter is 'Java developer', but labor application was filed with 'Software developer', will it be any issue?

Thanks in advance!

I don't see any issue in your case. Java developer is software engineer anyway, and I-485 application is for future job offer.

I had the same doubt, my lawyer said its OK as long as the description is not 'too different'.

My lawyer strictly insisted on the exact same title and exact same job description all throughout. If you got approved for a particular job you can't send in something that is different. If it were me, even if the title changed, I'd make sure the job description is at least 90% similar to the original.

Thanks GC_2008 and Almond for your responses. Your attorney is right to have exact same job title and job description through GC process. But if employer is not willing to issue employment letter having exact same job title, then it won't be any isse if job description matches. This is what GC_2008 mean. Please correct me, if I'm wrong.
