EB3 I will finally cross 2001 mark.....

how did you infer that? Its only down 75 for CY 2002 for India.

Also, can someone help me understand if CY2002 means 1st Jan 2002 or 31st Dec 2002. I always thought it was all dates prior to 1st Jan 2002 but somewhere in one of the threads someone said it includes 2002.

It is Cumulative Demand Prior To CY-2002. I.e. before Jan 1st 2002 and up till Dec 31 2001.

No it does not include 2002. For 2002 look for "Cumulative Demand Prior To CY-2003".

CY: Calendar Year

That's what I thought as well. Thanks for clarifying...

Do you know how the numbers from this demand data tie to the EB3 movement tracking at the link EB3 Movement Tracking - Immigration Wiki (http://immigrationvoice.org/wiki/index.php/EB3_Movement_Tracking?) What do the numbers in this link tell us? Does it say the number of visa available for the rest of the year?

Sometme back, DOS official indicated to IV that demand data is being released regularly to help us analyse the numbers. It is good that Department of State is releasing this information every month now before releasing the visa bulletin. Let us hope that this continues and we see improvements in transparency from both DOS and USCIS.

Pappu, I believe the best transparency on both DOS & USCIS part would be to release the allotted vs actual consumption of immigrant visa numbers on a monthly basis. Much like a corporation releases their balance sheet. Anything less would only be opacity as opposed to transparency.

Don't know when we are going get that from these guys.

I agree with you , if data shows how many visas are left or used it will be really Great .

;)
Thanks

Hello,

Looks like USCIS is finding some lost applications... for example, see EB2-I Demand

Mar 2010 CY 2006 ---- 10150
Apr 2010 CY 2006 ---- 9900
May 2010 CY 2006 ---- 9975

So, the general increment is 75 or multiples thereof and as there is no drop in total demand for EB2-I over past month (9975 now vs 9900 last month CY 2006 and 37350 now vs 37250 last month in total), maybe there is no movement for EB2-I this month either...

Did anyone read the last two lines on the first page:

"Unused numbers can “fall-down” from E1 to E2 to E3. Unused numbers can “fall-up” from E4 and E5 to E1. This is taken into consideration when setting monthly/annual targets for number use based on historical/recent patterns."

Are they preparing for BIG spillover right from this month or am I reading too much between the lines.

You are reading correct! Those lines are preparing for spillover; however, how BIG of a spillover is a million dollar question. Lets see, hopefully the spillover lives with the definition of word BIG!

Pagal,

I think reason for increase in application count is, several people are porting EB3- Eb2. Last week my two friends got GC approval they successfully ported EB3- EB2.

Thanks,

I have attached the pdfs from the last 2 months and both of them say this thing as well. I think we are reading too much into it. Its a general note that they have in the document.

I think this is a generic statement in every demand statement.

Another thing where USCIS processing is not making sense at all.. Only less than 1000 visas consumed by EB3 ROW between March and May when this category should consume over 30,000 visa a year and that's without getting spillover

The same sad story near August/September they realize much of the 30,000 visas are left and they rush to approve random applications

Yes, that is indeed strange! Interestingly the reduction in the demand seen is from Years that are not current now; probably due to porting to higher categories. Then the question is what is USCIS really doing ?!! Do they themselves have any Idea ?!!!

I don't think we can imply anything as this statement was in the last 2 released monthly info too.

Can anyone clarify something for me:

My priority date is september 2005, Eb3 ROW.
How many visas are available for Eb3 ROW per year?
And how many visas are left for the remaining fiscal year?....i can not understand the chart with the visa available for the remaining fiscal year.

What is E3/EW......can anyone clarify this please?

E3/EW 2,687* 2,987 42,671**

Thanks in advance!

Dont bank on spillovers....
They somehow manage to find last minute undiscoevred visas....
If they dont have that data they are lying or hiding something..it doesn't even take afew people to count those cases manually ....

Or

They rejected 2000 China applications or 2000 China citizens withdrew and went back home. I hear opportunities in China are very good. US educated people are welcomed by the government.
