This is indeed good news for EB2, now this month's bulletin clearly implies, the date for EB2 candidates will take a huge jump in the next bulletin, which is the month of October and start of a new fiscal year for visas.

Let's keep the ball rolling and keep up our joint efforts.

Sep visa bulletin (if true) confirms our earlier discussion on vdlrao's thread:

http://immigrationvoice.org/forum/showthread.php?p=266528#post266528

"There are 20 K EB visas left from the regular EB category for this fiscal and there are minimum of 20k FB visas which spill over for EB.

Thus conservative estimate 40k visas are available for use before Sep 30th. Liberal estimate the numbers could be higher"

Yes this is true.. and surprisingly good news back to back from USCIS..doesnt seem like USCIS..may be the Olympic spirit is showing and they are going to shower GC as long as Michael Phelps keep winning golds....

Is that true?!! While I do hope like hell that that happens, I couldn't see any trend like that in the earlier years.

Experts,, I am not sure but I just talked to my Lawyer and he said that , if it's EB2 I PD is 1-AUG-2006 and mine also same then I am current. But again.. this is as per my Lawyer..

you missed narrowly, but not to worry.... the very fact that the dates moved forward instead of staying the same (or going back) itself means that the demand-supply gap is narrow.

The great tide that lifts all boats is coming within a few months......

While all of this is good news for EB2-I and China, it does not really matter if your case is not touched. You will find several people waiting now for months after their PD became current.

Of course, this is a lotto and at least when your PD and RD are current, there is a likelihood you can get approved.

Goodluck!

Bulletin clearly explains meaning of cut-off dates. Cases dated as the cut-off date, are not eligible. Only cases with dates prior dates are considered eligbile.

Couldn't agree more. While the effort from USCSi to not waste Visa numbers is commendable, they really need to follow some kind of procedure. There are lots of us EB2-I from 2004 whose cases have not been touched yet. Let's wait and see how it goes. This definitely a step in the right direction and good news for EB2-I. But, the processing centers really need to make an effort to process the remaining 2003\04 or older cases before they process tons of 2006 cases.

Dude you were right on your speculation and I will give you a green for it. But the speculations made by Murthy and the other law firm in the past have been quiet wrong and not to mention disappointing.

Like I said in my previous thread, all these law firm look up to IV for the latest news in EB community.

Wasn't it Murthy law firm which initially said dates for EB2 will retrogress? I thought Ron said the same thing.

Anyways enjoy the green!

Please let me know how I give a green? Saying I approve this message (like the presidential candidates approving the ads) give greens to the posters? I know this is not important, but then USCIS ways of approving cases beat any logic right ;).....Dude you were right on your speculation and I will give you a green for it. Plse dont give me a red, my full support to every single waiting person and that includes thousands of my EB3 brothers and sisters too....

Kumarc,

Thanks and I agree to your points. :p Just to clarify, the date was not predicted by Murthy law firm, but by one of its forum members. (S)he went for CP interview, and the Consular officer told the new EB-2 dates to her. Thanks again.:)

sundeep14
08-13-2008, 05:08 PM
Finally the bulletin goes live...good..for Eb2..

note for eb3:
The Mexico F2A and Employment Third preference cut-off dates are “unavailable” for both August and September, since those FY-2008 annual limits have been reached. The Visa Office had originally anticipated that this would be a temporary situation. Then with the start of the new fiscal year in October the cut-off dates would have returned to those which had applied during June. However, continued heavy demand in those categories may require the establishment of cut-off dates which are earlier than those which had applied in June. A formal decision determination of the October cut-off dates will not be possible until early September.
