Hello,

I have a profile for online case status monitoring and because I attempted
logins with wrong password, I am locked out.

I get the following message:

Your password has been locked because of too many unsuccessful login attempts.Contact the USCIS Headquarters Referral Management Team for support.


Does anyone have the telephone number or email id of USCIS Headquarters Referral Management Team ? How do i reset the password by calling them. I forgot the answers to prompt questions too.

You can create a new account with a new email address and then use that to point to the same case numbers. This would be the best approach if you don't have the contact numbers.

I forgot my password, and security question’s answer.
Is there a phone number on which I can call to get my password reset?

FYI - USCIS web site where you create your account is https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/index.jsp

There is a forgot password link on USCIS page. Click on that and enter your email id which you used to create your account. They will send you a link to reset your password.

The link on USCIS page sends only the user id thru email. It does not send password.

Once you get your userid. Click on the forgot password link again and enter both your userid and email address, it will send you a link to reset your password.

If you just enter the email address, it will only send the userid.

Try this. I helped one of my friend yesterday to get his password reset.

Tell me what I am doing wrong here:
1) https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/login.jsp
Clicked the link - Forgot Your User ID or Password ?
2) https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/lostCredentials.do?lostCredentials=true
Entered my userid and email address and Clicked Submit.
3) https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/authenticateUser.do
Here it asked me to enter "Your Question on File is:" and "Your Answer on File is:"
I do not remember this.

If you do not remember the secret question or answer then you have no choice, its probably much easier to use a new id + new email address. Next time, shoot yourself an email with the userid/password/secret question + answer for your record just in case you forget.

I checked my online status online. It only shows the application is recieved but not the name. If I create my profile would I be able to see my name when I check status online. I haven't created my profile yet.

Forgetting passwds is normal, especially for IT guys :D
