Guys,
Any one has idea in what order the I-485 applications are processed. Are they processed based on the priority dates or the FIFO irrespective of the proirity dates of incoming apps to USCIS.

Thanks

Processing by Priority dates only makes sense

Processing is by receipt dates(RD) if PD is current. Only if PD is retrogressed, processing is by PD.

My attorney told me that "Everybody should be fine to file I-485 in July.If USCIS still recieved your app. by July 31st,then still you guys will be fine, don't worry be happy".

If the processing in by PD, then it is extra work for USCIS bcos then they have to sort the app based on PD and then process them... in case of FIFO it is very easy just by stamping the date on the reced applciations....

Not really sure how it is done...

Probably it is FIFO for cases where PD is current.
However, RFE and denial can be done for I-485 where PD is not current.

Not a legal advice.
