Need suggestion!!

I am trying to get into MBA in Texas A&M with above qualification.

I got my degrees evaluated by one of the companies (FSCA)suggested by school.

As per evaluation, 3year B.com and 1 year PGDM is equivalent to US, Bachelor of Business Admn.

Yesterday I went to school with my degree and evaluation and I was told that, I do not qualify for MBA as my Bachelor is not four year and they refuse to accept evaluation from FSCA.(FCSA is one of the official evaluators for University as per their website).

She even suggested that PGDM not even masters program (I told her that in south asia PG mean post graduate and it can only be done after Bachelor.

Please suggested me whats the best coarse of action as the classes are starting Jan14 and there are very few days left

She told me I can always appeal but she doesn't see my application going anywhere.she also said they I can only send my appeal to her and she will send to right person.

Please suggest me whats the best coarse of action so that I can resolve it ASAP, as classes are starting under month.

Thanks

Typically higher ranked / reputed universituies create issue with 3 year degrees. Check out at University of Houston or equivalent. Texas A&M and U of Texas might have issues with 3 year plus PGDM

For example Wilmington University and WGU is OK witrh 3 eyar plus pgdm

I talked to UT Dallas and showed them the same Credential Evaluation, which they said is fine and they will go by that even though they have their own internal evaluation system.

But they are too expensive than A&M, thats the only reason I chose that school.

I have appealed school decision to the director Graduate school. Also my credential evaluation company has also emailed them saying that they have evaluated correctly and in case of any question school can contact them directly.

Will it be wise to ask them that they can get it evaluated from any other company in their list and I will pay for that?

Or what else I could do to convince them?

Hey GoFigure,

Have you applied in Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi? If yes, are they waiving off GMT or it is required? do they also require TOEFL? I am also planning to do MBA online. Your input will be highly appreciated.

Thanks

No, I had applied to TAMU-Commerce.

They finally accepted my application with "Provisional Admission" with pending GMAT score. My classes are starting on 14th Jan 2013.

Since I am on H1 so they waived off my TOEFL.

My Undergrad GPA is 2.87.School waives of GMAT if Undergrad GPA is 3.00.

But I personally feel that its good to take GMAT,particularly in my case as I am going to school after very long time.and it will help me getting back in learning curve.

Let me know if you have any question.

I have been accepted by Colorado State Univ for my MBA. I was also trying TAMU but based on the reviews, it sounded like CSU has got the online course pretty well organized. They send the DVD of the live class which takes place for the full time course. I am not sure about TAMU. Can you provide some more info? What would be the tuition in TAMU?

Thank you for your information. Is 12000 for Residents or is same for non-residents as well?
