Default Home Ownership

Hopefully someone will be able to answer this for me. I really already know the answer but will have to 'prove' it. My husband's brother, a citizen of and living in Iran, wants to know if purchasing and owning a home here in the US would expedite an immigrant visa to come here.

You don't get any visa by owning a home.
If you can spend $0.5 million, try for a invester visa.
