As long as your AOS is pending you can travel using AP.

Carry all documentation with you. Did you use EAD? If you did not technically you are still on H1B which means you might have to provide proof of earnings while you were not on project. Please maintain all documentation before you travel which make it easy for you during you return

Can you tell us which POE you are using? will be good to update this forum once you return and post your POE experience

- cheers
kris

Here is our experience of travel on AP:

Me: (traveled on different date than my wife)
1. Good morning..
2. gave PP and AP,I94 and custom form
3. Guy stamps I94, AP and fills AOS etc on the places and asks me to put 4 fingers on screen and takes a pic and gives one AP, i94, custome form and PP back
4. Have a good day (before I could understand anything)

Note - I was expecting that he will ask me to go in different room like I learned in many threads

My Wife - (different airport and different date)
1- asked her to go in other rooom
2- stamped etc and gave both AP back one was stamped and one did nothing
3- Even they ask her why u have two AP? is it a colored copy? she told that no...both are original ...they didn't understand...so stamped one and kept one empty and gave her back

WHO EXPLAIN THEM THAT U SHOULD KNOW WHAT U DOING?...But anyway no prob at all

hope this help to few people
