Default Green card for parents

Hi,
I am a US citizen, and want to apply for a green card for my parents, living in Zambia. I have a few questions
1. My parents have already applied for their green card through their relative(sister) 5 years back. That is waiting on the priority date to be current, but it'll be a lot faster for me to reapply for their green card. Whats the process to cancel/transfer that application to my application ?
2. They live in Zambia, and I live in the US. Should I be giving my address or their Zambian address for the application ?
3. Do I need to show any assets in the bank to prove that I can sponsor their green card ?

Also, if I file for I130, and my parents are here on a visit visa, can they continue to stay until the case is resolved(so that I can file I485)
