Default Expired stamping. Is stamping at Mexico good option than in India?

Hi All,

My Visa stamp expired last Jan (2008). Its been more than 1year since then. I am wondering if there is any risks/issue in getting it stamped at Mexico or in India (planning to go to india in april).

Since my Visa expired an year ago, and I have approved H1 papers, would i run into any problems when i go for re-stamping?

I would appreciate your responses.
