Default Visitor visa extn beyond 6 mths, urgent pls

Hi,
Due to medical urgency, my parents cannot travel to India immediately. They i-94 expires in 6 days, and they were supposed to travel in 3 days.
If we have to extend their stay by 1-2 weeks, or may be a month, please tell me the procedure.
Thanks a lot for advice,
Bobby.

Default Apply for a Extension Immediately

Please apply for a Extension immediately and leave accordingly , but wait till you get the receipt before leaving the country, that will prove you have applied for a renewal before the expiry.

Hope your parents get well soon...As the previous poster told, apply for extension immediately..Here are my $.02

If its a medical emergency, you can apply for visa extension, Please make sure USCIS receives the I-539 before the I-94 expiry date. Also make sure you send supporting docs like letter from the hospital/doctor regarding the medical emergency and the patient can't travel, also if you have all the supporting docs regarding their bank accounts, property details etc(the same one's they carried to the US consulate) to make the case for their attachments to the home country..
