Step-mother sponsored visa/ father Green card
I may be posting in the wrong section, so please point me in the direction I need to be postin in if so.
I am a 33 yr old Canadian citizen. I grew up in the U.S., as my father has his green card (has for decades) my step mum, who married my father when I was 17, has offered to sponsor me to move back to the U.S. My question is this; Is this my best course of action, or should I be looking towards my father? Also, what is the time frame I am looking at? I have been trying to filter through all the information, but I'm not sure as to the best course of action.
So to summarize:
1) Should I have my step-mum sponsor me (since they were married before I turned 18)
2) Or should I have my father, who has his green card, sponsor me.
3) Either scenario, what is the time frame, and which would be the shortest.
4) Is there a work around I should be looking at?
Sorry for so many questions, I've been trying to filter through so many different facts etc.
Thank you in advance!
