Default Job Prospects for an Indian Java Programmer in US

What are the job prospects for an Indian Java programmer with 2 years of experience (Keane Inc) in US ? The person has undergone SAP ABAP and .NET training, however, he/she has not done any professional projects in those areas.

Does he/she have to do a MS in US univ to get a good job?

For long term plan, I would suggest you to study for an MS. Some schools only require 8 courses and can be finished in one year.
The US immigration policy is getting tougher each day, and having an advanced degree from a US university may bring you certain advantage in future. Nothing is guaranteed but it is a possibility.
It is true that with 2 years experience, studying for an MS may not give you a higher salary, so it's your own choice. I would go for MS if I were you.

I would not suggest an MS. It now takes an average of $20,000 for a 2 year program without a financial aid from the university. And, with the recession. you can bet on not getting any aid.
And, since the person already have 2 yrs experince, an MS is waste of time.
So, if you still want an MS, may be you would not have done a msters in your home country, then go for a university that has good visa rate and low fees.

But, in my opinion, H1B is the best option.
Is there an easy way to find a US employer that can sponsor a H1B visa? What will be the starting salary?

Can anybody in this forum please explain the immigration procedure for an IT professional from India? I need this info for my friend...

Is it easy for an IT professional with above mentioned skills to seek a job in US?

Thanks,
