Depends of GMAT score. But right now there is no funding with Universities. So there is no funds available for student aid which makes the cost of education very high. Now if he has an outstanding GMAT score then he might be taken care off by any University.
Another thing to consider when doing an MBA is that it has to be at an Ivy League. Or else the degree is not worth the paper it is printed on.

Default Mba

Before you do the MBA even from Wharton or Harvard, as yourself

1) Why do I want to do an MBA?
2) How much does it cost me?
(Tuition ($125K + for executive MBA) + transportation on weekly basis ($500-600 per travel + car) + other expenses + student loan interest etc).
3) Are you paying from your pocket?

A good executive MBA program will cost you around $125-150 for two years. Even a quality two year full-time MBA costs close to $100,000.

If so, then think seriously. Having MBA is nothing if you don't do it from right place with right reasons. Many of these executive MBA programs are cash cows for these schools. These schools, cleverly uses 'group projects', to reduce the burden on their faculty so that they don't have to manage the 300+ students individual assignments and explain the reasons for low scores. Majority of these group projects are bullshit. You are among a group of 4-5 people and learn the project by yourself. Obviously, you will have one or two free raiders who are suckers and paid by their company. They are there to have good time and build a 'network'. You pay $10,000 for a course in the semester and practically learn everything by yourself. You pay for nice gourmet food, nice laptop and so called 'networking' opportunity. Avoid these 'executive MBA programs' at 2-tier schools unless your company is paying for it.

There are tons of MBAs around and I know bunch of them who are very good at using the tools but they usually lack 'commonsense' and fly far from 'ground reality'. Morons.

If your company is paying for it, take it. Otherwise, take a good look at it because you may not be getting your worth. Before that read the book by Henry Mintzburg 'Managers not MBAs'. These schools equip you with tools but don't instill any leadership skills. They have to be learnt by practice.

MIT, Stanford, Kellogg are not Ivy league colleges. Kellogg is a part of Northwestern University.

Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Princeton, University of Pennsylvania and Yale University are Ivy league colleges.

Most of these ranking - US News, Business Week, NYT etc - generally list same schools in TOP 10 and just move the schools around because each of these ranking use 2-3 criteria different from others.

Rankings are relativistic and are primarily based on student surveys. I wouldn't go that far to call it a joke.....But, you are entitled to your opinion.

The point is that there are other schools comparable to Ivy league schools.

The majority of the schools listed are not in the Ivy League but assuming you meant top academic schools by "ivy league", then yes.

to the person who asked what is Ivy League -
Ivy League - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Just trying to provide the whole picture and not trying to nit-pick
