Default Need tips for India business trip

I am going on a 10 day business trip to India in March with a week in New Delhi followed by a week in Mumbai. I have the weekend free between the two legs. I have never been to India before but I was wondering if it would be possible do a quick side trip to see the Taj Mahal. What would be the most optimal way to do this (drive or fly?)? I haven't made any travel plans yet but would be happy to hear any other alternative things I could do. Is Rajasthan a good option?

You can also visit Lotus Temple, Swaminarayan Temple in Delhi which are amazing structures, also India Gate, Jantar Mantar. You have lot of options in Delhi.

But if you want to go to Agra, you can do so. There are lot of private buses from Delhi to Agra. You can see Taj Mahal.

Rajasthan is also one good destination with lots of beautiful forts and rich history. But it will be far if you go by train or bus.

I plan to fly if possible. Are there regular flights between Delhi and Agra? Googling around seems to indicate so but I couldnt find a schedule yet. I want to cut down on the travel time unless there is a good reason (scenic route etc).

I think by bus it takes you around 5 - 6 hours to reach Agra. There may also be flights to Agra and now there are lot of private airlines in India. So I think little bit of search on say Jet Airways, Kingfisher airlines, Indian Airlines etc will help you.
