Question Are you looking to negotiate your salary soon?

Salaries are typically based on the experience, supply, location, size of company, industry etc.

So I would recommend doing a salary.com research for yourself as it will use all of the factors above. I don't think learning the salaries of IV members is going to help you determine what your services are worth.

A typical SW Engineer with 7 years of experience can make anywhere from 60K-150K depending on the experience, location, size of company and supply.

Hope this helps

Wilmington (Delaware State) .. Close to Philadelphia.
Used to work in NY a year ago for finance company- 125K package - Then got laid off since they claimed TARP funds- 125K-150K is ongoing fair market rate for 8+ exp in NY, SF Bay Area and Boston.

I pay $800 in rent for 3 bedroom house. Delaware is tax free state, no sales tax.

Please update your profile buddy. Since you decided to be born in Japan and play baseball please correct your profile. You might qualify for EB1 so try that way.
Please.......we are trying to have a very serious discussion here ok...

Before posting salary we should understand employment type . eg full time employement having greencard/citizen ship, full time on h1 , consultant having citizenship/greencard who can directly work with prefered vendor and technical postitutes (H1B) visa holder working with desi employer who are not prefered vendors and have to work th' prefered vendor and possible chain of other dallas (you know what i mean).

In my case i am technial postitute who has to do what ever client say (though boss is idiot he is right) and prefered venoder and employer is taking my half salary which client paying. This is sucks man..

I have 12 plus years of experience and when i was in india i was managing 50 to 100 people team. here i am like a team member though i have all qualities to become a manager, due to greencard i can not do that. I am in usa and all most all clients offer me full time till now ( was working with citi, GE finance, Bank of america and current client) and guy who has greencard are doing great in term of money , carreer growth etc...

You can always get a rate increase commensurate with your experience and industry. I am also H1-B and doing just fine.
