Thanks Simple.Life....and since you asked for it....MahaBharatGC....here you go....It was a long Journey that started in 1998 ….14 years....but for me it’s been a wait ….that I have learned to kept to myself….as when such a long time passes one observes interesting things……like most of my friends, coworkers from home country who came along with me to USA or around same time frame……..stopped asking about my Green Card status …..many years ago as most of them became LPR holders or US citizens for quite some time and gradually I realize that this issue is no longer a hot topic of discussion among my friends circle like it used to be….as they have moved from this stage of life……years ago…or they assumed that I must have got mine as well…so they stopped asking and I stopped informing…….and then for the last 3 to 4 years I started meeting another group of people who got the LPR status in less than 3 to 4 years of their arrival in USA… and I realized that some of them do not dare ask me anything about green card…when I used to answer to one of the most commonly asked question we all get ----“So when did you came to USA ?” they assumed that I must be a citizen  ….so now that I do have my GC approval …..I wonder what is the point of informing to my friends that I too got one….they all assume I have one any ways !!! but on the forum where I hardly know anyone there seems to be some intrest… who may want to listen to my long journey which is as follows…..

Aug 1998- First H1b approval from Employer A

Sept 1998- Second H1b approval from Employer B

Dec 1998- Frist H1-B visa stamp on passport for Employer A’s H1-B approval.

Feb 1999- Second H1-B visa stamp on passport for Employer B’s H1-B approval.

April 1999- Entered USA on H1-B and joined Employer B

May 2000- Third H1-B approval from Employer C

June 2000- Third H1-B visa stamp on passport for Employer C’s H1-B approval.

Dec 2001- Forth H1-B approval from Employer D ( never joined although)

Feb 2002- Fifth HI-B approval from Employer E.

Sept 2003 - Labor Application under EB-3 Submitted by Employer E.

2004/2005 - Labor application send to backlog Center ( I cannot remember the exact month or year)

April 2007 - Labor got approved under Eb3

May 2007 - I-140 was filled by Employer E

Aug 2007 - I-485 was filled by Employer E

May 2009 – Joined Employer F on EAD , never send any AC-21 letter never got any H1-B approval after that….

Nov 2010 – Pending I-485 transferred to local office

Jan 2011 – Attended Face to Face interview at a local office for pending I-485 application and was told at Interview that all check are cleared but Green Card cannot given as visa dates are not current

March 2011- Pending I-485 application transferred back to main service center from local office.

May 2012 - New PERM filled by Employer F.

Aug 2012- Perm is approved

Sept 2012 I-140 is filled under Eb2 by Employer F

1 Oct 2012- I-140 is approved

19 Oct 2012- Pending I-485 status changed to CPO without any need to send Interfile letter or any other way to Inform USCIS about the porting from Eb3 to EB2.

Needless to say between 2002 to 2007 - while working for Employer E. I got many H1-B renewals and visa stamps from various visa post in India, Canada and even from State Department once (without leaving U! If some old timers can recall those days ) then between 2007 to 2011 I got many EAD and AP approvals while working for Employer F which I used to renter USA via Air, land and even by Water once.
