Thumbs up To Do List - Lame Duck session : *URGENT*

To Do List - Lame Duck session
------------------------------

1) Send WebFax and email to senators and congressmen from IV website before November 7.If Every member (6000+) can sign-in and send it,it will make a great impact in the peak of this election time.IV Core Team should draft a letter for WebFAX.It is the best time to send letters and FAX to senators and congressmen. Since it is election time, they will listen to us
and consider our issues. Most likely they will reply to us because of forthcoming election on nov 7.This is the best time to convince politicians !!

2) Send personal emails to senators and congressmen from your personal email id. Explain your personal story and issues in the letter.

3) Contact Senators and congressmen by Phone. Ask them to consider SKIL Bill in the lame duck session. Explain your issues.

4) Send emails to media reporters and journalists.

5) Repeat Item #1 after Election on Nov 7. ( we can send the same fax/modified contend, after the election day ).

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Our GOAL is to resolve GC backlog issues before the end of the Year 2006.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Good Luck to everybody !

Thank you Pappu for your update. We should do something to get the SKIL Bill passed in the house by the lame duck session.

Shusterman and my lawyer think it is unlikely that any immigration legislation will pass during the lame-luck session if they decide to shorten it. Quite depressing

Default To Do List- Lame Duck session

We can talk lot about hiring lobbyst to talk to government about our plight, but what about our own consulting company's taking advantage of an employee, who has to work as a slave taking advntage of our own people why curse others when our own people are blantantly using the same law against us . If Immigration voice is made up of people like you and me that is Engineers, doctors not undermining any other professions , IV should focus more on empolyers fooling innocent employees who come to America and realise what Hi-visa is all about, my vision of IV is that of some entity who helped people in distress.

I agree your point. But our first and most important priority is to remove the GC backlogs and refine EB green card system favorable to H1B people. Let us focus on the first priority and then go to the secondary issues !!
