Default I485 Approved when PD not Current

Today I received 3 status update email alerts from USCIS stating my

-I485 was approved,
-Card Production was ordered and will 30 days to receive the card, and finally
-a notice was mailed .... we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status"

Seems all confusing to me when my PD is not current. Any thoughts from experts?

MurthyDotCom : When is an Approved I-485 Not a Good Thing?

The following thread is exactly like my situation

http://immigrationvoice.org/forum/fo...val-email.html (PD not current but got I-485 approval email)

Thanks

You have already posted the answer (on Murthy link) and hope you know now what to do..You may need to contact USCIS and find out the reality.

Was there ever any employer who filed an 140 on your behalf ?

A friend of mine had a similar situation and then he found out that his previous employer filed a 140 in EB2 which was approved after he quit. His new employer filed under EB3 and he had the opportunity to catch the July 2007 bus to file 485 (with the EB3 140) . But USCIS considered the earlier EB2 140 and approved his 485 based on EB2 140. He consulted his attorney and also USCIS and it seems everything was legal.

Default Similar thing happened to a friend few months ago

One of my friend got an approval few months ago while his priority date was not current. After talking to USCIS and attorney, they found that it was approved by mistake.

He had to return back the green card.

Default EB2 EB3 mistake

May be they thought you are EB2 and not EB3 as your profile states. Return the green card and wait for your date to be current. The sooner you do it the better. You don't want disruptions in your H1-B or any other status that defines you as a legal immigrant.

You are sitting in front of a pot of gold that you want to hold on to but the fact is that the pot was delivered to the incorrect address. If things fall in place your pot will arrive soon.

All the best...

I have a question may be answered somewhere.

what if some one does not follow visa bulletin. you just got the card in the mail. It's not mandatory to follow visa bulletin.
