Good Luck to everyone watching this Bill including me :) IV - Great Job !!

Why the heck Cohen raised an objection about no quorum if he was supporting it already and the bill had bipartisan support? This is going to be a plain torture till 6:30 PM now.

Anyways, looks like it has good bi-partisan support and it should pass. But this wait of 2 hours is going to be painful.

My question is " How can we pledge support?". Is it for today (or) later date ? Do we need to be present in Washington ... etc.

But thats not important at this point.

....In many ways - by donating $$, by meeting lawmakers and by participating in advocacy (going to DC, sending mails, calling etc)

Guys who are watching please keep updating the thread. I am not able to see it as the company internet filter blocked the link.

Not at all. When you're in the office you don't really focus on tone etc...just posting straight stuff and that too while at work:D:D

What would be the next step once the House passes the bill.

As we shared earlier, the full recorded vote will be at 6:30. If TN Congressman would have not asked for recorded vote, the bill would have passed right at that moment. But now it will at 6:30, when there is quoting for full recorded vote. We are in good shape.

Really happy to hear this.

H.R 3012 - motion postponed due to quorum not present

I was watching the house proceedings and after 40 minute debate, the following happened. Now I do not know what is going to happen next. Any idea?

"At the conclusion of debate, the chair put the question on the motion to suspend the rules. Mr. Cohen objected to the vote on the grounds that a quorum was not present. Further proceedings on the motion were postponed. The point of no quorum was withdrawn."

Thanks!

Please read through last few postings in the forum and you would find the answer.
