No, no, no, its not just about student visas. If you read the section, you'll see that it applies retroactively, meaning that current H1B's who would have qualified for that category are eligible to self petition for adjustment of status. Nobody is asking IV to divert from their main goal, or even push to include other things in the bill. My only point is that maybe IV shouldnt be pushing and supporting amendments which remove H1B friendly language already in the bill. The Brownback amendment is beneficial for all, the Cornyn amendment, in its current form, is bad for a lot of people.

If you noticed, this site and forum is for all people whose GC has been impacted due to LABOR and/or GC retrogression issues. It is not only for Indians. If the IV core group were to ever make such a request (and they have made it clear that they do not intend to), I am afraid they will lose credibility with the lawmakers.

If they were working on issues ONLY impacting citizens from India, it would make sense. Not in this case..........

once again great work by IV. I actually got one person to join :-).
