Default Efficiency at USCIS

http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/public...uscistoday.htm

How has USCIS changed since March 2003?

Iíve seen many changes, especially in technology. When I first started in this position I listened to many (many, manyÖ) complaints about our computer systems. We were operating on Windows 95 (in the year 2005!), still using cc:Mail and operating on an old version of Novell for our network. In the last year weíve migrated to Windows XP, Microsoft Exchange/Outlook and implemented Windows Server 2003 for the network. Weíve updated CLAIMS 3 and other core Center applications. As part of the Workstation Technology Refresh we received new workstations with flat panel monitors. Weíve come a long way in the last year and I rarely hear complaints about our systems anymore. Thatís a major change that I can live with.

Quite an improvement. Anything that makes them process our applications faster is welcome.
