Default How to indicate Alternate Chargeability

A friend of mine is filing for I-485 and wants to know on which form should he indicate alternate chargeability (spouse's country of birth). Is there a special spot on the form for this or would he just have to include a cover letter indicating this?

I appreciate any help you guys can provide.

i am in the same boat. primary applicant from retrogessed country, spouse from ROW. when i asked my attorney about this, he said that the copy of the birth certificate of the spouse is what will establish alternate chargeability for both of us. i hope he is right, does anyone else have a similar situation?
