Default WoM to hold visa number

I was reading in the namechecktracker group that somebody had filed WoM for namecheck. Since his PD was getting retrogressed in Jan, lawyer (Murthy) filed an injunction to hold a visa number. Soon he got his greencard.
So filing WoM could have gotten you the greencard - but it's too late now.

Out of 12 guys i have been in touch with during the gc process... 10 were in eb3 and had pd between 2001 and 2004.
They all took the promotion/moved jobs, used their experience as leverage and interfiled under eb2.... and not surprisingly enough these guys were totally secretive about their interfiling and only came out when it was approved, only to see EB2 go U eventually.

If I am not wrong.. the conservative jump rate is close to 80%. This mass migration from eb3 to eb2 has left a gaping hole in eb3 and this will likely make EB3 move much faster... and it should because eb3 folks have waited way way too long.

I am EB2, so i wish eb2 also moves faster.. but if wishes ..horses... you get the point.

Not really. Green cards are limited according to country of birth, not country of citizenship, so even if you give up your Indian citizenship to acquire another one, you won't be better off. Your Master's degree though, is a whole another issue - I'm sure there will be tons of people ready to buy it from EB3 ROW!

You can only sell something if there is demand for it. In fact you might have to bribe someone to accept your country of birth.

Default Shooting yourself in the foot

Hahahahahahaha...

The irony of it all. I remember sometime ago there were a bunch of guys who were very proud of this EB conversion business that they posted details and advice on this website and encouraged everyone to do it. Seems they were a little too successfull - most of them now probably find themselves staring at many many years of wait and huge retrogression. Maybe some will convert back to EB3. I have just one question for all of them - do you get a feeling you shot yourselves in the foot?
