Thanks Babu.

Not going to tell you that.

>> I think that's the only difference between GC and Citizenship.
Incorrect. There are LOT of differences.

1. Visa free travel to many countries
2. No need to maintain GC status, even if I spend >1 year out of US
3. Can work on jobs that require Security Clearance
4. Can sponsor GC for Parents/Siblings
5. Be part of School PTA

>> So you gonna start some company? I could give you some tips
Thanks for your offer, but it is little late. I already have a company. Just because I never mentioned it (Like you did), you assumed that I don't have a company. Tip - Never assume anything. In case of doubt, please ask first.

Have a good day!

Default Welcome to the FIRST Indian who is a US Citizen

Seriously, folks. What's with this thread? Total waste of time.

Someone announces his 'greatest achievement' ... others challenge him to show true patriotism... yet others ask him to continue supporting India etc., AND this chap actually responds !

Wow! Seriously we all have too much time on our hands to be self promoting / congratulating / reminiscing etc...

Glad that this person will call US Senators etc., lets thank him for that and keep moving... instead of grilling him on things that matter to you! He owes you all no explanations or apologies.

Peace!

Take a chill pill, buddy. If all were to fit the template, the world would be boring.
The world needs more open minds than ever before. Will you contribute please?

Thanks.

Right on!
Well there are several added advantages like you mentioned.
What kind of business you do? If you don't mind asking.
Are you making money? ( bottom line hehe )

You have to have security clearance before you can do that.
Pretty much like you have to have citizenship before you can vote.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Security_clearance

Reality check: most naturalized citizens will never clear Level II

Good Luck!

Congrats buddy ! Its quite ironic that there are some people who filed a few months here or there from your PD in 2000/2001 and are still waiting for their GC and I know a few people who filed for GC in 2003/2004 and got it in 2005.

The odds of getting lucky with USCIS are worse than hitting the jackpot .

Best of luck to you .

You said it. Some years ago people who filed in wyoming get lc in 3 months
and got GC in 1 year. I know a friend who completed the whole process in 11 months
What to do? This world is a big unfair place. we have to live with that I guess.

Mr. desi####,

Your excitement is understandable, and so is your need to be here and let everyone know about your fulfillment.

Unfortunately, this situation is analogous to riding into a starving town and waving your loaf of cake (bread = GC, cake = USCzip) at the hungry and the poor.

How do you think it is going to make an EB3 feel who has been here just about as much time as you have been but is still waiting for his date to get current so he can expect some action?

When people here report their GC approval they do it because it helps others who are waiting know what their filing dates, PD, etc was.

Moderation requested.

Congratulations!
