Default Anyone know the link for this new scary (cool) MEMO ??

I (we) know that they dont have proper system to pull the files based on PD/Country/Category etc.

Looks like they openly agreed that, Cant believe it.

BTW, what's scary about this memo..

Infact, I find it encouraging, that TSC is trying to facilitate the process one way or other, given their system deficiency.

Does this mean that, if we do not want to be overstepped in the Q, everyone has to have an attorney with AILA membership??

Everyone send chocolates/gifts to your attorney for Thanksgiving/Christmas and be on their good side.

Looks like this is the system that USCIS has been saying they are working on to identify pending cases.

Now, what if your case is pending and your Attorney is not a AILA member or you do not use an Attorney?

I think this is a good idea. Most people here, coming from a computerized world, assume that everything in USCIS is automated. Its only partly true. Due to security reasons, preventing vulnerability, they still deal with mostly paper.

I think its scary for people who filed their applications at NSC. Ofcourse like someone said scary for people with attorneys who are not members of AILA.

"The TSC has introduced a new e-mail procedure to help identify I-485 and I-140 cases that have remained pending beyond the stated TSC processing times posted on the USCIS website"

and write now there are so many other things to worry about like economy and whether the jobs will be safe or not.....

Default This is good news

Chris, Can you change the title. This is actually good news. USCIS is coming out with some real solutions now. It is known quite for some time that USCIS data capturing is so poor, they can not sort and order AOS applications on PD. We know how they issued GCs to 2006 PD ahead of 2002/2003 PDs this august. If this email thing works correctly, we can expect steady movement of cut off dates in future instead of wild jumps back and forth.

I went to court in NJ to pay fine and get rid of points for red-light ticket. I reached there by 5 PM and was not able to get out by 9 PM, 4 hours of hell. It happened that way because people who had attorneys with them were given special treatment and they were able to leave court well before others.

Having a good attorney always makes difference. If you don't have attorney then you are not contributing money towards people who run the system, hence the different treatment.

Seems like a good idea to me...even if it favors people with Attorneys....it atleast gives you an avenue to present your case to some Computer which then assigns the case to a human. Wow...what progress, TSC!!! Why can't your computer pick it up in the first place? What kind of system you have that can't prioritize work based on FIFO? Now we see a way out of this hell-hole. Hope NSC does the same too!!

An afterthought: Could we write to Ombudsman for NSC adapting similar email routine?

Are we missing something?

I wish Nebraska did this too and for all forms not just I-140...
