Default I-485 Premium Processing 20K USD per family!

I know this has been discussed before. I'd appreciate IV to consider this and push it on top of there issues.

An I-485 Preimum processing fee of 20K per family would be a great idea. Now dont consider this as GC's for sale.

Stipulations can be:

1. It should be an option for ppl who have been working in US for 4+ yrs(this term is debatable). Well atleast everyone will get a chance after the duration.
2. Just like in H1, the I-485 fee can be used to fund the education system in the United States.

say what??

Default Pls dont mind but

The 5000 penality fees etc. for the illegal immigrants sounds the same to me..I'm disappointed when legal ppl like yourself just outright reject an idea without giving it some thought.

With this new nutty bill they introduced, there are more things to be worried than this 485 pp. I just don't get it, people are missing the important point with these country caps. If they are two low you need to wait till your PD is current. In most of the cases this waiting takes years than the actual 485 processing time (6-9 months) if your case is not stuck with the name check.

I dont think thats a great idea. In order to pay 20K per family for a greencard, one should be making a lot of money.

Default pls read through the line

I-485 premimum processing, the name itself suggest no quota limit. All those who qualify as per some stipulations, should get GC.

Insane!

If you give 20 k Now, in 2 years they will increase it to 50k. Are you ready for that? Please be responsible and dont be so desperate about GC.

I do not know from where you get these ideas.
Our system is so messed up that it will take at least five years for a person after applying for labot to get EAD, our people are suffering and waiting to get some relief out of this mess so that they can atleast are allowed to file for I-485 and you want IV to push I-485 pp as a top priority.

Wah ....

i would rather take 20K back home, if couldn't get GC thru normal processing, and live there happily.

When we cannot even afford $20 per month for immigrationvoice, do you think IV will buy your idea.

ps. pls contribute your 2 cents to IV in cash not kind. If 12 thousand members can contribute 2 cents, it will make it $240. Thats a whole lot of money

I am not endorsing the GC on sale for 20k proposal. But i just wonder the reason you specified that no one can afford 20k for families GC. I can site numerous cases where people paid 10k+ just for the approved labor.

I am a member who contributed couple of hundred dollars even before IV aggressive contribution drive. But i retracted recently from the idea that contribute to IV and we can make a difference in the congress approach to our problem. hey its me!!

Default Virtual GC

If we are allowed to get EAD/AP even when visa numbers are not available, doesn't it solve a lot of problems for a lot of people? Who cares if it takes 10 years to get GC for whatever reason if you have EAD and are free to work wherever you want.

If IV just pushes for this one change, won't it be enormously helpful? If we can get EAD, isn't it almost like a virtual GC?

Am I missing something here?
