Default Green Card Projections

Hello All,

I've been reading a lot of posts in the forums where everyone has been trying to estimate the GC visa dates. Instead of playing the guessing game, I did some research, made some assumptions and created this EB Visa Projections. I may have made some mistakes, so please help contribute to make the projections helpful for everyone's benefit.

My PD is Jan-2007 and I was also affected due to the July VB fiasco.
From my project, I'm just re-thinking if it's really worth the the wait.

Please review and let me know your comments and I'll try incorporate your feedback.

The attachement needs to be uncompressed and can be viewed using Excel or OpenOffice Writer.

Thanks.

DreamGC.

If you've not noticed, there are 3 worksheets

2. GCQuota-n-DOL
3. GC-RetroEstimates

The links to the worksheets are on the top of the screen.

I dont think the 40 60 ratio is accurate for Eb2 and Eb3, of the about 130,000 perm approvals, almost 75% are Eb2, so a better ratio would be 50 50. Other numbers look ok, so you are right, with a 2007 PD you are looking at 2015 for approvals, by then, here will be the currency values:
1USD = 15 INR = 0.7AUD = 0.6CAD = 0.8SIND, so we have to decide what we want and where we want to be.

Default Variables

there are so many variables.Even USCIS could not predict, thats why vb fiasco happened.
So I guess all we need is patience. So I guess lets stop this Prediction game and try getting the Skill Bill or something similar passed.
You cant control everything ,so lets keep tryin g but these predictions dont help anyways.Lets not waste time.
Just my opinion!
If you still want to play the game, keep playing.Best of Luck!

I think in every final quarter for that fiscal year, if there is no demand for ROW then those numbers will be used for over subscribed countries. so your calculations can go wrong

DreamGC.
You estimated thate there are potential 200K EB applicants, but you used the 7% ceiling of both, EB+FB (25K) for those 200K EB cases instead of the 10K for only EB. So, unfortunately, it looks you have to multiply your estimates by 2.5.

On the positive side, GCs have been given between 2000 and 2007, and some LCs have been re-used and or abandoned.
