Default Action Item for I485 Transferred Case Members

My case got transferred from NSC-CSC-TSC ( I never lived in CSC service area). I received transfer notice 3 years ago from CSC. I have been filing EAD, AP and my 485 with my current address. I have been living in the address for many years. Today I went to field office to make sure all the information are correct with my case. Officer told me there is no Address on my File and that causes delay in adjudicating the case and mostly likely it will be closed as abandoned. I was very upset since this actually happened with my original 2001 labor (I lived in the same address) and they closed it as abandoned.

I encourage members to check with their field office to make sure address is there in 485. I ended filing a AR-11 form for no reason. Officer told me most likely the data was not entered in case transfer process. What a mess!

Remember just because your EAD/AP/H1/I-94 has the address you live, it doesn't mean I485 application in system will have it.

Default wow! that sounds messy

Hi rao,
This sounds scary. I filed for 485 during July fiasco with NJ address where I have been living since 2003. I got the Receipt# with WAC which I am assuming is California center. I also got transfer notice saying my case was transferred to another office where it is being processed which I am assuming is Texas Service center. After July application I applied for 2 EAD renewals, and one AP. 1st EAD renewal had receipt# SRC, and the latest renewal was with WAC again. I don't remember what was on original EAD app and AP. All EAD and AP applications came approved within a month without any queries, so I assumed everything is going good. And I send all my applications to Texas drop box only. But your story is giving me a totally different picture.
What reason did you have to give to take appointment at local field office. I am not sure what reason to give since I am not current yet. And I am assuming local USCIS field offices can be found on USCIS website. If not please let me know how you found your local office.

You can take infopass appointment online. Ask them specifically to look at the 485 case. Most officers look at your overall case like FP,AP,EAD and says everything is correct. Trust me, I got argument with the office why I need to file AR-11 when I never changed address at first place. He showed me N400 case which was filed in 2004 and got abandoned in 2005 due to no address on file. The person came to know last month. Guess how they feel? Why would someone abandon their case at first place?

In my case they are not even going to work just because there is no address on file. Now that make sense to me. the only way to be complaint is to file AR-11 regardless and keep a scanned copy of it to prove.
