Is "500,000" an accurate estimate? If you're going to use numbers on this blog, please cite your sources - that will help add integrity to this forum and make it more useful for IV members. Frivolously throwing out numbers like this doesn't help anyone.

Google yourself. Its not that hard to find. Also stop lecturing people on the forum..

coming to the number, no one knows the actual numbers, we all rely on a testimony from DHS/DOS into a congressional hearing and OMB report. 500K is a good ballpark. it could be 500,012 or 499,998 or any number around these..

Hi Smuggymba, Did you receive your physical card for EAD & AP? If yes, for how many years did they give EAD/AP?

No approvals yet this month for EB2 ... looks like none happening this month. Any one on this forum seen/know of any approvals?

Default Visa Bulletin Out - EB2 -India

Does it mean, no more EB2 India approvals up to Oct 2012???.

"RETROGRESSION OF THE CHINA-MAINLAND AND INDIA EMPLOYMENT SECOND PREFERENCE CUT-OFF DATE

Due to the rapid forward movement of the cut-off date, demand for China and India Employment Second preference numbers has increased dramatically during recent months, and at a much faster rate than had been expected. Therefore, it has been necessary to retrogress that cut-off date to August 15, 2007 in an attempt to hold number use within the annual limit while maintaining availability for those countries that have not yet reached their per-country limit. Notices were included in the November, January, and February Visa Bulletins alerting readers to the possibility of such a retrogression. While corrective action has become necessary earlier than was anticipated based on the information available at the time cut-off dates were determined, it is hoped that readers are not caught off guard by this retrogression.

Should additional information regarding potential demand become available, it may be necessary to take additional corrective action at any time.

Every effort will be made to return the China and India Employment Second preference cut-off date to the previously announced April date of May 1, 2010. This will be done as quickly as possible under the FY-2013 annual limits, which take effect October 1, 2012. It will not be possible to speculate on the cut-off date which may apply at that time until late summer.

USCIS has indicated that it will continue accepting China and India Employment Second preference I-485 filings based on the originally announced April cut-off date."

Smile EB3 I-485 Approved

After 13yrs in US (12 yrs on H1B and 1 yr on EAD) & 10yrs of GC processing, received GC finally.

PD: 08/2002 EB3 India NSC
I-485 Applied: 11/2003
FP: done 5-6 times so far

Renewed EAD/AP while on H1B, atleast 8-9 EAD & APs (as we had 1yr ead until 2008 i think, and also lost months in EAD & AP as i applied 90-120 days before expiry and sometimes uscis approved soon)

worked longtime with same employer who sponsored GC but moved just few mths ago to a new employer & did AC-21 immediately. became current in mar bulletin.

received RFE on 03/12 - Employment verification letter & G-325A biographic address update & replied in a week

meanwhile
EAD approved: 03/22 for 2 yrs (i applied in feb)
EAD Card received: 03/26
AP: pending since feb

I-485/GC approved: 04/02
GC received: 04/07

Congrats. Good to see an eb3 getting approved. Your wait was very painful especially since in 2003 dates were current. People from small staes were getting green in few months in eb3 then. The labor backlogs were a big problem and cause for a huge wait for many here in eb3.

That might be true but nobody can be sure. One thing is sure and that is they are still processing applications and if eligible assigning numbers to them. I have a PD of August 08 and have received rfes for marriage certificate (church certificate submitted so requesting official certificate) and also one for syphilis negative (doctor forgot to check negative but attached the test result). So it is possible that atleast you could be preadjudicated and ready for the card as the numbers are available.

I got EAD and AP for 1 year. My understanding is that if your PD is current, you get it for 1 yr. If date has retrogressed (offically from May 1st) and your EAD gets approved after that, then you get for 2 yrs. Also incase date remains retrogressed next year when you apply for EAD, you get it for 2 years!

I don't think it is a good idea to delete this thread. This thread is very useful when used in right way. This thread is meant for EB2/ EB3 priority date predictions. Lets use this thread in a right way and delete any unrelated posts.
