Default EB2 PD before 8/15/2007

Folks I am bit confused with the approval process (I guess most of us are confused as there seems to be no logic). If the PD is before 8/15/2007, I would expect that USCIS will continue processing these applications and will/ should approve (unless EB2 dates retrogess more...). Anyone know of any case that got approved recently other than the two case that Teddy mentioned (friend's friend kind of info)? At min I would expect that USCIS continue approving cases with PD before 08/15/2007.

Unhappy Weirdness

Hi Gurus,
This weirdness is killing me. I received all 6 receipts ( 3 each for my and I. EAD, AD and 485 ) a couple of weeks ago. I am not able to track any of them. USCIS site comes back saying they were not found? what could it mean? texas service center.
With the retrogression, I was hoping to receive at least EAD and AP, but now I am confounded.
Also, how do I talk to a live USCIS customer service agent? Have been unsuccessful on that front as well. any other ways to inquire about the status.
Any help is much appreciated. thanks.

While some people in EB2 will not like it because they were expecting greencard pronto, but it is a smart move and a good achievement of IV. The dates moved too soon and allowed 80 thousand people to file for I485s and get EAD so that their wives can work. EAD is like a greencard. Ask people who do not have EAD and struggling in EB3 to file I485. People in EB2 will not anymore spend time Tracking or helping someone make money from predictions. EB2 should be happy that the ride til now was good and now they can enjoy the EAD until dates get on he super highway again in October. I would see the bright side of this news.

Thanks for your thoughts. First of all one of the objectives of this thread is to state the facts whether its EB2 or EB3, some news can be good and some can be bad but still the information sharing helps.
80K people is a top of the line estimate while movement of dates till May 2010 was also the other extreme, in most predictions that were made on this thread and elsewhere which may have been classified as being conservative the consensus was that the dates would barely cross 2007 at best, so yes if the approvals were orderly then that would have been the case. I find it hard to believe that the date movement was the result of any calculations, it was just a way to achieve a large intake and retrogression was expected after that.
I personally know how important it is to have EAD I had to wait 4.5 years just to file for 485 and when my labor was filed the dates were current. Most 2007 and 2008 EB2 filers have gone through very difficult times waiting for the dates to be current and also lots of issues with labor audits and H1B extensions, some people made sacrifices to file in EB2. It is only now after years that people have received well deserved relief. Everyone here empathizes with their EB3 friend and every sane I/C person supports HR 3012, besides that the only other option is porting.
Coming to your often repeated rhetoric on commercial sites, on IV itself predictions and calculations have brought in more than 6 million views any commercial benefit for the same has gone to IV only. What it has brought to everyone is clarity in this difficult journey and several new members to IV over the last few years when people used to be disappointed after every VB.
From my own experience people continue to visit this thread and help each other irrespective of being Eb2 and Eb3, time and again some individuals have criticized this thread as being a waste of time but yet they are regular readers. Nobody has made millions by predictions / calculations per say it is just about sharing thoughts and information here and elsewhere, if people find it useful they will read it. Iam here and elsewhere on other forums just as a commentator to help out my friends who are still in this journey.

Sorry to post a question here but I am not able to create a new thread in this section. It only allows me to create new thread in the "Ask a lawyer for free" section.

I have an approved EB3 I-140 with priority date in 2010. Recently I got EB2 approval and have an approved I-140 with priority date in 2011. I am yet to receive a copy of the approved EB2 I-140 from my lawyer so I dont know if it will have the earlier priority date of EB3 on it. I as ked my lawyer and he says that even if USCIS puts the 2011 priority date on the approval notice I dont need to worry as the combination of the earlier approval and the latter approval would work. Is this correct? Any ideas? Teddy? Anyone?

Of course this would happen when pne Infosys tester takes away 4 GC's (Self, wife and 2 kids) and there have been 5 in just my company. Imagine the spread and scope nationwide. No spill over from EB1. CTS and L&T take care of the rest. This sucks.

Teddy it will be interesting to see the rate of approvals for EB2 ROW during this and the next few months. Also the demand data that will be available soon will give an idea. Either way most of us are fortunate that the gates were opened even though for a short while permitting applications. Now we have to just wait and see how things progress in the coming months. Hopefully they will not waste any visas because they will have preadjudicated a lot of the Dec/Jan filers incase there is a spillover towards the end of this year.

So what is your point ???? Infosys tester should not get a GC before you ..... and why exactly ?

disclaimer: I have never worked for Infosys --- my GC process is being sponsored by an 100+ employee American company where I am the only Indian employee ( out of total of 3 on H1)
