Just now got a message and our cases moved from Initial Review to Acceptance. Also, it now shows the Fingerprinting fee received date and not AOS application receipt date... weird.... wonder what these guys are up to? This is TSC (Thakela Service Center).

The status reads as follows for Acceptance stage:
The acceptance step is typically completed within 2 business days of when the application is received. With mail time it may take several weeks for you to get the receipt or rejection notice in the mail. If you do not receive your notice within 30 days of mailing your application, please contact our national customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

Weird again... makes no sense if they are processing acceptance step within 2 business days.. why would they move cases that are already pass this stage... its been 8+ months since my AOS was filed.... anyone in the same boat??

Guys even I received a soft lud, email and texts for approved EAD / AP for self and spouse just a short while back. I do wonder what happening they likely made them redundant as my GC was approved 3 months back.

On the status changing back from Initial Review to Acceptance refer to my post
http://immigrationvoice.org/forum/fo...ml#post3460010 (EB2-EB3 Predictions (Rather Calculations II))

I have a hypothesis that they are essentially keeping the cases in cold storage probably in their systems cases in initial Review will show up on the officer’s queue but acceptance will not. Till Oct there is no chance of Eb2 I/C dates opening up.

Thanks in advance..

Your assessment is correct at a high level. We should however take things a year at a time because some factors and adjustments change every year.

Any thoughts on EB3 - I? I know it is probably not worth discussing but since we are in a prediction thread, some analysis and information for EB 3 India would greatly appreciated for people like me.

Thanks in advance.

We do discuss EB3-I also from time to time. Unfortunately EB3-I is in a very heavy zone. By Sep 2012 it may barely touch Nov 2002. HR 3012 is the only hope for EB3-I in the immediate future. Porting seems to be happening in smaller numbers now however it does not impact EB#-I movement as 2002 folks are not porting.

Thanks Teddy, so I see every Visa bulletin EB3 India progresses by a week. Will that be the case always, or can we predict some forward movement in certain months. What I am looking is when will EB3 India 2003 dates start showing up in the bulletin. Will it be early next year, mid next year and so on.

Friends big news here EB2 ROW has retrogressed. In the spillover pyramid EB2 ROW comes higher than EB2 retrogressed so it can potentially absorb any generated spillover from EB1 and EB5. A date of 01-JAN-2009 indicates that Eb2 numbers are over for this year. Starting next year in Oct we have to keep a close eye on EB2 forward movement because until Eb2 ROW becomes current again we cannot expect any spillover to EB2 I/C.

Eb2 I and C is As expected. However do not agree with EB2 ROW assessment. It should have been moving forward significantly in the last quarter. It may need discussion with DOS to understand what were the reasons to guesstimate its unavailability.

I do not think, new VB would interest anyone from the Retro Countries this Fiscal Year. July the first of 4Q for this FY seems to show very little movement. May be, Oct 1,2012/FY13 might have some good movement for the retro folks unless any congressional actions change the dynamics prior to that.

E3 (ROW) , China jumps 6 weeks, while India just a week and 2 for Philippines inline with the forward movement forecast. E2 for I&C continue to stay 'U'.

Seahawks basically by the May inventory there are 3K plus EB3 - I cases till May and 5K+ till March 2003. Porting is bare minimal in this zone. With the way things are going on it may take close to 9 months for the dates to enter 2003, the number of cases in Nov and Dec 2002 (Especially) are quite high. Mar 2003 case approvals are closer to 1.5 to 2 years away.

Teddy,

EB2 ROW doesn't need to be current for getting spill over to EB2 I/C. All it needs is any given country in EB3 ROW, may utilize of 1/3(7% of 1,2000) = 2,800 will automotically go the remaining visas to most retrogressed in EB2 category..

Visa Bulletin For July 2012

D. EMPLOYMENT SECOND PREFERENCE VISA AVAILABILITY
Continued heavy demand for numbers in the Employment Second preference category has required the establishment of a Worldwide cut-off date for the month of July. This action has been taken in an effort to hold number use within the annual numerical limit. Should there be an increase in the current demand pattern, it may be necessary to make this category completely “unavailable” prior to September 30, 2012.

The China and India Employment Second preference categories are already “unavailable”, and will remain so for the remainder of the fiscal year
