Default Response to my Service Request -Any Concerns?

Hi,

I am July 2007 485 filer with approved I-140 & PD 2006.

Just to check the status of my 485 I had raised a Service Request in July. This is the reply I got today:

The status of this service request is:

Based on your request we researched the status of this case. We are actively processing this case. However, we have to perform additional review on this case and this has caused a longer processing time. If you do not receive a decision or other notice of action from us within 6 months of this letter, please call customer service at the number provided below.

Does anyone any experience on this reply? Is it a generic reply or hint towards RFE?

Please share if you have any information...Thanks!!

I am a July 2007 filer too. my RD on 485 receipt was quoted different than the date my application reached their office and was told to open an SR to get it corrected. Well I did and got the same email as you did two days back I think. I assume it is pretty generic email and there is no need to worry or even get your hopes high thinking that someone is working on my case...

The whole process is so disgusting.

Here is the response I received for SR that USCIS Customer Support has opened on my behalf on Aug 7, 2008:
--------------------------------------------------------------------
The status of this service request is:

Your case is currently under review. You should receive a decision or notice of other action within 60 days of the date of this letter.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

I think this looks generic.

Default SR Response

In responce to SR I received the following reply from USCIS

The Permanent Resident Card cannot be completed because the biometrics have not uploaded into the system. We are looking into the databases to see if the images can be found.

Did anyone received a similar reply?
I gave my fingerprints last thursday (September 4, 2008).

Default No progress on my SR .........

I opened an SR exactly a month ago regarding 485 being out of processing times. They asked me check back within a month, called up and the cst-srv-rep says 'your case is still not assigned' contact us after another 30 days as we cannot take any action until 60 days from the time SR is opened.

vareddy is on a distinguished road
Default What does this repsonse mean?

I opened a service ticket for my 485 (PD 2004) and got the following message in a letter.

"We have determined that your case would have a better result if you make an appointment ot visit your local office"

And the letter gave a link to infopass. What does it mean?

Thanks.
