Default Current since July of last year - No GC yet

Hello Friends

My PD is current since July of last year . I opened Service requests and have been getting the ususal responses like "wait for 60 days and and its under review by an officer".

Here is the hierarchy of events that took place since july.
  • My Priority date for EB2 is July 2006
  • My case was transferred from Texas service center to Nebraska service center in March 2011. The reason I have been given was to speed up the processing of my application
  • I changed employer in July 2011 , My date became current at the same time.
  • I filed AC21 with the new employer

Is anyone in the same situation as me ? Any suggestions as to what I need to be doing?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Chaitanya

Default Same Situation - EB3

I am dealing with same situation since Aug 2011. This is EB3 - India.
I have opned 2 SRs so far, first in Nov 2011 ,second in Jan 2011 for both of us.
Response to the first was wait 30 days for both.

Response to the second one was wait 6 months for me.
For the dependent on the second one it said the fingerprints were missing or expired.
I am currently waiting on getting the Biometric notice.

Even I was interested in finding the state of fellow EB3 folks with PD prior to Aug 2002 to see if any approvals were received.

Default contact your local senators or representatives

they are pretty responsive and USCIS is obligated to work once a query is initiated in behalf of a congressman or senator.

Please contact your Congressman's office. They have a 48 hour SLA to respond.

Default Thank you all

Thank you all for helpful replies. I will try to contact the local congressman. Does taking an Infopass help in this scenario?

My personal experience so far with Infopass has not being that good. Either the representative just repeated the online status we see on the website or they asked me to contact NSC directly. I was in the same situation a month ago and the Senator's office intervention made a key difference. I would strongly suggest you to contact either your local Congressman or Senator and USCIS usually gets back to them pretty quickly. In my opinion opening SRs are a waste of time, at least in my case, since I had opened two SR's and nothing happened..

Contact ur senator's office ASAP. Write a nice letter with dates, attach copies of docs so it is easy for them. You will have a response in at least 2-3 weeks.

Good luck.
