Default those who got 1 year EAD instead of 2 years

Just wanted to check how many of you got 1 year EAD instead of 2 years ?

Was your I-140 revoked by your previous employer ?

Did you get 2 year EAD previously ?

I have a PD of 23 Oct'03 in EB3 (I). I have applied for EAD & AP extensions multple times since 2007. First three times I got 1 year validity EAD & AP. 4th time I got two year EAD & 1 year AP, since combo card was not that prevelent at that time.

Last year I paper filed for the 4th time and got combo card for the first time with 1 year validity. I was really not happy, since my PD was not going to be current any time soon.

I did some research at that time that seemed to suggest that if you e-file there is more chance of getting 2 year combo card.

So, I e-filed this year and did get 2 year combo card although had to go for finger prints.

Hope this helps.

I have got 2 year EAD and 1 year AP in the past. But, last time I applied for the combo card and got just 1 year. Obviously, it will take 5 to 10 years for my PD to become current. Some people suggested that, when you apply for the combo card for the first time, you get one year only. It doesn't make any sense to me, but a lot of stuff that USCIS does doesn't make sense anyways.
