Default copies of the card

Provide your atty a copy of your card for their files (not sure if your case was handled by company atty)
Provide your HR dept with a copy for their files
Per my atty - law requires you to carry your card on your person at all times just as you would a drivers license (i am not sure if i can do this, i made a copy for my wallet and locked up the original at least until my first trip in 7 years to India this december)
If you are in a certain age group (is it 18 - 26??) you need to sign up with Selective Services - i doubt many will be under 26, but thought i'd share.

Most importantly, please Go to SSA office and update your immigration status (i.e if your immigration status at SSA office is H1B and you claim on employment application as permanent resident - when they check SSN for validity, SSN lookup will come up as non-immigrant, there is a good chance, you will loose the employment opportunities)

If you move after getting green (i.e. more security to buy house or relocate to new job), you'll still need to update USCIC using form AR-11. Tendency is to forget...

If you were on H1B before, you'll have to inform your HR and fill out I-9 form.
