Default H1 transfer question

Hi,

This is for my friend. He is working in US for Company A on H1B. He filed a transfer to Company B and in 5 days( even before H1 transfer was approved), he got a better offer and filed for transfer with Company C. Both the transfers are approved in order B, C. He chose to work with Company C from then on quitting Company A.

The question is: Is there any problem for him since, he did not use one H1B. But, he was always IN status as he switched from Company A to C. Any help?

No problem, your friend is good. The idea of a H1 transfer is a misnomer. Each H1 application is a different petition and so your friend could choose to work for either B or C or even both employers providing that one petition is for full time and the second is for a part time job.
The bottom line is that your friend is okay.
