Question Resigning on Friday & joining new company on Monday ?

hi,

I work with Employer A.
Company B has filed for H1B transfer in premium processing.
B is ok to let me work as soon as they receive the Receipt notice (ahead of the approval)

So, if I resign from current A on a Friday, and if the starting date with employer B is the following Monday, does that constitute an 'out of status' or 'out of payroll' situation in anyway ?

Please let me know, thanks.

Default Better to be safe

I have heard conflicting views, but what I have done myself and seen some of my friends do is have the last day sometime midweek with the company you are leaving and start the next day with the next one, thus avoiding this confusion. This is generally negotiable if requested for.

I have done that twice i.e. quitting on Friday and joining on Monday. Recently got EAD so looks like it's not an issue.

I have used premium processing in the past and I only joined once the visa approval was granted.
